The new Lahore or the 'Europe' of Pakistan

After the PML-N Government came in Lahor in 2007, they made it a very modern and beautiful city, the 'Europe in Pakistan'.

Before 2007, Lahore was a city with very narrow roads, no good system of transportation and a very dense amount of traffic resulting in daily traffic jams. There was no respect for cleanliness and the whole city was somewhat like a disaster.

In a very few time, i.e 4-5 years, it has become what the local people wouldn't have imagined in their dreams.

The above metro bus sytem is one of the best bus service for poor people who have to visit Lahore daily from Sub-Urban areas like Qasur. It is a perfect transport for them.

The image to the right is of the Lahore Ring Road, which is one of the most international standard roads of the country.

This image (to the left) is the example of best international standard housing colonies built in the city.

It is moving rapidly towards modernization and it is a shame that local governments of other major and important cities do not pay attention towards their progress and development.
